Special Issue on Selected Papers from the International Conference on Sustainable Energy Conversion and Storage

Sustainable Energy Technologies is pleased to collaborate with SECS 2025: The International Conference on Sustainable Energy Conversion and Storage to organize a special issue titled “Sustainable Energy Conversion and Storage.” The conference will be held from July 19-20, 2025, in Harbin, China, and is hosted by the Harbin Institute of Technology.

This special issue builds on the academic and collaborative achievements of SECS 2025, which brings together approximately 100 participants, including leading researchers and experts from over 10 countries. The conference provides an international platform to share cutting-edge research and innovative solutions in the areas of renewable energy conversion, advanced energy storage, and interdisciplinary sustainable technologies. The scope of this special issue encompasses a wide range of topics, including but not limited to solar thermal and photothermal utilization, thermochemical conversion technologies, biomass pyrolysis and gasification, and plastic waste valorization via catalytic and pyrolytic methods. It will also highlight emerging advances in phase change materials, multi-scale energy storage system integration, and cross-disciplinary approaches that support the development of sustainable and resilient energy infrastructures.

We invite original research articles, reviews, and case studies that contribute to the understanding and advancement of sustainable energy technologies. Submissions should emphasize innovation, practical applications, and international relevance, helping accelerate the global transition to a low-carbon, energy-efficient future.
