WoWMoM 2027 (International Symposium on a World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks) is a CCF C / ICORE C / QUALIS B3 conference held in Irvine, California, USA on 2027-06-21. The paper submission deadline is 2026-12-01. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2027-02-10.

Scope and overview IEEE WoWMoM 2027 solicits original and previously unpublished papers addressing emerging research challenges, novel solutions and technological advances in wireless and mobile networking, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and ubiquitous and pervasive systems and applications. Wireless, mobile and intelligent networked systems are rapidly transforming the way people, devices and services interact. Advances in wireless communications, mobile computing, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and machine learning are enabling a new generation of data-driven applications across domains such as smart cities, healthcare, transportation, industrial automation, agriculture and immersive digital experiences. The increasing scale, heterogeneity and intelligence of connected systems require novel approaches to networking, resource management, distributed intelligence, security, privacy and application design. At the same time, the convergence of IoT devices, edge platforms, cloud infrastructures and AI-driven services is creating an interconnected IoT-edge-cloud continuum capable of supporting sophisticated, latency-sensitive and data-intensive applications. Understanding, modelling, measuring and optimising the behaviour of these complex systems remains a fundamental research challenge and a key enabler for future innovations. IEEE WoWMoM 2027 takes a broad and interdisciplinary view of the design, analysis, implementation and evaluation of wireless, mobile, IoT and AI/ML-enabled systems and applications. We seek original and previously unpublished research contributions that advance the state of the art through theoretical analysis, experimentation, simulation, data-driven methodologies or real-world deployments. We welcome contributions from both academia and industry, including novel architectures, protocols, algorithms, machine learning techniques, systems, applications, datasets, measurement studies, testbeds, field trials and operational experiences. Papers reporting lessons learned from practical deployments, reproducible research artefacts and open datasets are particularly encouraged. Specific areas of interest Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: 5G, 6G and beyond wireless networks and services AI-assisted, AI-native and data-driven wireless, mobile and IoT systems AI/ML for networking, communications, resource management and optimisation Artificial intelligence at the edge and on resource-constrained devices Autonomous and self-managing networks Behaviour-aware, human-centric and user-centric systems and applications Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies for wireless, mobile and IoT systems Dependability, reliability, resilience and survivability of networked systems Edge AI, edge computing, fog computing and distributed intelligence Emerging applications in smart cities, healthcare, transportation, agriculture, industry and immersive environments Energy-efficient and sustainable wireless, mobile and IoT systems Federated, distributed and privacy-preserving machine learning for networking systems Intelligent wireless communications and AI-native network architectures Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial IoT, digital twins and cyber-physical systems IoT-edge-cloud continuum and distributed computing infrastructures Localisation, positioning, tracking, navigation and mobility management Machine learning systems, foundation models, generative AI and LLMs for networked and distributed environments Machine-type communications (MTC), massive IoT and device-to-device communications Measurement, monitoring, observability and network analytics Mobile and pervasive computing systems Mobile social networks and human-centred services Modelling, analysis and performance evaluation of wireless, mobile, IoT and AI-driven systems Network function virtualisation (NFV) and network slicing Network traffic characterisation, measurements and telemetry Participatory sensing, mobile sensing, crowd sensing and urban sensing Quantum communications, quantum networking and secure communication protocols Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) and programmable wireless environments Resource management, orchestration and QoS/QoE provisioning Security, privacy and trust in wireless, mobile, IoT and AI-enabled systems Sustainable, green and power-efficient communications and computing System prototypes, real-world deployments, operational experiences, testbeds and open datasets Ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) Vehicular networks and connected mobility Wearable computing and personal sensing systems
