The journal provides a prominent forum for the R&D community in both academia and industry. Responding to the highly applied and commercial importance of Security and Privacy R&D, submissions of applied-oriented papers reporting on case studies, test beds, review and tutorial articles and simulation-based studies are encouraged as well as theoretical-based articles. All submissions to the journal will be peer-reviewed, and accepted manuscripts will be professionally produced to ensure a common style and level of content for the journal.

Special Issues

Special Issue on AI for Security and Privacy in the IoT and Edge Continuum Día de Entrega: 2026-07-15 The Internet of Things (IoT) and the edge continuum, which includes edge computing and fog computing, are rapidly expanding, connecting billions of devices and generating massive amounts of data. This interconnectedness poses significant challenges for security and privacy. Traditional security mechanisms are often insufficient for the resource-constrained and dynamic nature of IoT and edge environments. Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents a promising solution to enhance security and privacy in these complex ecosystems. This special issue aims to explore cutting-edge research and innovative applications of AI for addressing these critical challenges. Aim and Scope: This special issue explores the convergence of AI, security, and privacy within the IoT and edge continuum. We invite submissions that explore novel AI techniques, frameworks, and architectures for enhancing security and privacy in these environments. Submissions exploring regulatory compliance, ethical AI for privacy preservation, and responsible AI-driven security practices are also welcome.
