Call For Papers
2018 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (IEEE ROBIO 2018) will be held December 12~15, 2018, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the 15th in the ROBIO conference series, IEEE ROBIO 2018 will be another tremendous event for fruitful intellectual and social interactions among colleagues and friends in robotics, biomimetics and related fields. The theme of ROBIO 2018 is Fusion of Robotics, Biomimetics and Al, reflecting ever growing interests in robotics and biomimetics, and rapid development in artificial intelligence. We solicit full-length, high-quality, and original papers on but not limited in the following topics:

New theory and technology in robotics and biomimetics
Bio-inspired robots, e.g., climbing, creeping, and walking robots
    Soft robotics and liquid-metal robotics
    Artificial intelligence in robotics
    Autonomous mobile robots and manipulators
Space robots, aerial robots, and underwater robots
MEMS, NEMS, nano-technology, and micro/nano systems
    Human-robot interaction
    Smart sensors and actuators
    Robotic vision and image processing
Multi-sensor data fusion and sensor networks
Multi-robot systems, swarm robots, and collaborative robots
Medical robotics, biomedical and rehabilitation engineering
    Robotics in intelligent manufacturing
    Applications of robotics and biomimetics

Besides promising to be a great platform for scientific and technical communication, the conference will also bring opportunities for social programs in Kuala Lumpur (KL). As the capital city of Malaysia, KL boasts gleaming skyscrapers, colonial architecture, charming locals, delicious foods of various type, wonderful fruits, and a myriad of natural attractions. It is widely recognized for numerous landmarks, including Petronas Twin Towers, Rotary KL Tower , Skybar, and Batu Caves, which is over 400 million years old.
