Signal, Image and Video Processing is an academic journal published by Springer. (ISSN 1863-1703, impact factor 2.1).

Aims and scope The journal is an interdisciplinary journal presenting the theory and practice of signal, image and video processing. It aims at: Disseminating high level research results and engineering developments to all signal, image or video processing researchers and research groups. Presenting practical solutions for the current signal, image and video processing problems in Engineering and Science It features original research work, review and tutorial papers and accounts of practical developments. It is intended for the rapid dissemination of knowledge and experience to Scientists and Engineers working in any area related to or using signal, image and video processing. Subject areas covered by the journal include but are not limited to: Adaptive processing – biomedical signal processing – multimedia signal processing – communication signal processing – non-linear signal processing – array processing – statistics and statistical signal processing – modeling – filtering – data science – graph signal processing – multi-resolution signal analysis and wavelets – segmentation – coding – restoration – enhancement – storage and retrieval – colour and multi-spectral processing – scanning – displaying – printing – interpolation – image processing - video processing-motion detection and estimation – stereoscopic processing – image and video coding. The editorial policy and the technical content of the journal are the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board. The journal welcomes contributions from every country in the world. All submissions are peer reviewed by anonymous referees. AUTHORS PLEASE NOTE: Submitted manuscripts should be no longer than 10 pages in the final, two column format of the journal, including all text, figures, and references, and the 10th page may contain only references. Please see the "Instructions for SIVP Authors" for more information. Image and video processing manuscripts addressing real-time algorithmic, hardware, software or implementation issues are encouraged to be submitted to the Springer Journal of Real-Time Image Processing which is dedicated to real-time aspects of image and video processing. If the manuscript is in biomedical signal and image processing area, its main contribution should be in the Signal & Image processing area. If its main contribution is not in the Signal & Image processing area it should be submitted to a biomedical engineering journal.
