Computers & Graphics (C&G) is an academic journal published by Elsevier. (ISSN 0097-8493, impact factor 2.8, CCF C).

Aims & Scope An International Journal of Systems & Applications in Computer Graphics Computers & Graphics is dedicated to disseminate information on research and applications of computer graphics (CG) techniques. The journal encourages articles on: 1. Research and applications of interactive computer graphics. We are particularly interested in novel interaction techniques and applications of CG to problem domains. 2. State-of-the-art papers on late-breaking, cutting-edge research on CG. 3. Information on innovative uses of graphics principles and technologies. 4. Tutorial papers on both teaching CG principles and innovative uses of CG in education. Computers & Graphics provides a medium to communicate information concerning interactive CG and CG applications. The journal focuses on interactive computer graphics, visualization and novel input modalities including virtual environments, and, within this scope, on graphical models, data structures, languages, picture manipulation algorithms and related software. Replicability Badge and Software Publication Computers and Graphics is collaborating with the GRSI (Graphics Replicability Stamp Initiative), an independent group of volunteers who help the community by enabling sharing of code and data as a community resource for non-commercial use. The volunteers review the submitted code (and data) and certify its replicability. Note that an accepted paper will be published independently of the GRSI application outcome. However, if the paper receives the Replicability Stamp, it will be given additional exposure by having an attached Replicability Badge, and by being listed on the Replicability Stamp website. We invite you to convert your open source software with GRSI Badge into an additional journal publication in Software Impacts, a multi-disciplinary open access journal. Software Impacts provides a scholarly reference to software that has been used to address a research challenge. The journal disseminates impactful and re-usable scientific software through Original Software Publications which describe the application of the software to research and the published outputs. Special Issues

Special Issue on Artificial Intelligence and eXtended Reality: Advancing Immersive Intelligence Submission Date: 2026-06-30 Artificial Intelligence (AI) and eXtended Reality (XR), including Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality, are rapidly converging to enable intelligent, adaptive, and immersive interactive environments. Advances in AI are transforming XR system design, interaction techniques, and content creation, while XR technologies offer powerful new means for training, visualizing, and understanding AI systems in embodied and spatial contexts. This special section highlights recent research at the intersection of AI and XR, covering topics such as intelligent virtual agents, AI-driven and generative content creation, adaptive and personalized XR experiences, multimodal perception and interaction, and human–AI collaboration in immersive environments. Contributions addressing cognitive, ethical, and societal considerations, including trust, privacy, accessibility, and responsible AI in XR, are also within scope. The articles in this section are extended and substantially revised versions of selected outstanding papers originally presented at the IEEE AIxVR conference, reflecting some of the most innovative work emerging from the convergence of AI and XR.
