IGARSS 2026 (International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium) is an academic conference held in Washington DC, USA on 2026-08-09. The paper submission deadline is 2026-01-10. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2026-03-15.

On behalf of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) and the IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) 2026 Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite submissions to the 46th IGARSS which will take place 9-14 August 2026 in the international city of Washington, DC, USA. As the flagship conference of the IEEE GRSS, IGARSS 2026 is set to be an exceptional event, bringing together the global community of geoscience and remote sensing professionals. Conference Theme: "The Future of Earth Observations" The IGARSS 2026 theme is to address the evolving technical, scientific, and policy landscape of Earth observations, remote sensing, and geoscience. IGARSS 2026 will highlight the essential contribution of Earth observations and remote sensing in understanding and monitoring the global environment. The conference aims to foster international cooperation in developing global solutions to understand our planet, positioning it as an essential gathering for researchers dedicated to advancing remote sensing technologies for a sustainable future. Topics of Interest: We encourage submissions in line with the GRSS Fields of Interest which span science and engineering, and include theory, concepts, and techniques of remote sensing of the Earth, oceans, atmosphere, and space, as well as the processing, interpretation, and dissemination of this information. This includes: Remote Sensing of Land and Surface Processes Remote Sensing of the Atmosphere and Oceans Remote Sensing of the Cryosphere Remote Sensing of Solid Earth and Geodynamic Processes Remote Sensing and Mitigation of Natural Disasters Remote Sensing Data Processing Techniques Electromagnetics and Radiative Transfer Sensors, Platforms, and Instruments for Remote Sensing Education, Standards and Policy
