The IEEE International Conference on Development and Learning (ICDL) is a unique conference gathering researchers from computer science, robotics, psychology, neuroscience, and other disciplines to share and discuss research on how humans and other animals learn and develop and how this can inform and be informed by robotics and machine learning systems. In 2026, IEEE ICDL will be hosted at Kyoto University, a world-class institution celebrated for its commitment to interdisciplinary inquiry. Set in the historic city of Kyoto, this conference offers a unique opportunity to deepen our understanding of human, animal, and machine development through cross-disciplinary collaboration in an inspiring environment.
