SUI 2026 (ACM Symposium on Spatial User Interaction) is an academic conference held in Bari, Italy on 2026-10-10. The paper submission deadline is 2026-05-29. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2026-07-15.

We invite original, unpublished work documenting research contributions, practice and experience, software and toolkits, or systems and novel applications. All topics that are directly or indirectly relevant to spatial user interactions and interfaces are welcome. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Spatial input devices and technology Intelligent spatial user interfaces, interaction, and collaboration User-adaptive spatial interaction and personalization Interactive spatial computer graphics Design practices, principles, and frameworks Interaction design, usability, and user experience (UX) User interface metaphors Evaluation methodologies and metrics Perception and cognition Human factors and ergonomics Ethical, social, cultural, and language factors Inclusion and accessibility Privacy and security Empathy, trust, acceptance, and safety Haptics, spatial audio, touch, tangible, gesture-based spatial interactions and interfaces Multimodal/multisensory and other novel forms of spatial interaction and perception Spatial interaction with data, virtual humans, and avatars Smart spatial computing & GenAI Distributed, multi-user, and collaborative spatial interaction Immersive analytics and visualization Applications of human spatial perception to interaction Applications of spatial UIs, such as games, entertainment, CAD, education, health, and engineering
