ICIMCS 2018 (International Conference on Internet Multimedia Computing and Service) is an academic conference held in Nanjing, China on 2018-08-17. The paper submission deadline is 2018-05-10 (extended). Acceptance notifications are sent on 2018-06-15.

The 10th International Conference on Internet Multimedia Computing and Service (ICIMCS 2018) will be held at Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, from August 17 to 19, 2018. The conference will serve as an international forum to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to discuss cutting-edge research on state-of-the-art of internet multimedia processing, multimedia service, analysis and applications. The conference calls for research papers reporting original investigation results and industrial track papers reporting real multimedia applications and system development experiences. The conference also calls for special session proposals focusing on specific emerging topics in the multimedia area. All previous ICIMCS papers have been indexed by EI. High quality papers will be recommended to the special issue of the SCI-indexed multimedia journal this year. A "Best Paper Award" and a "Best Student Paper Award" will be conferred to the author(s) of a full paper presented at the conference,selected by the award committee based on the marks of paper reviewing assessed by the Program Committee, and paper presentation quality assessed by session chairs at the conference venue. The "Best Student Paper Award" will be given to a paper in which the first author is a registered undergraduate or graduate student. ICIMCS2018 calls for research papers reporting original investigation results and industrial track papers reporting real multimedia applications and system development experiences. The conference will include oral and poster presentations. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following areas related to multimedia technologies and applications: • Large-scale multimedia analysis and retrieval • Multimedia systems and applications • Web scale multimedia annotation and classification • Multimedia communications,transmission and system • Multimedia quality assessment • 3D media,virtual and augmented reality • Interactive media and HCI • Mobile multimedia computing • Social multimedia analysis and application • Computer vision/machine learning for multimedia application. The conference also calls for papers for the special sessions as follows: • Imaging information processing and application • Sequence analytics and its applications • Deep learning for multimedia understanding • Cross-media analysis and application All the papers of ICIMCS 2018 will be published in ACM proceeding. All previous ICIMCS papers have been indexed by EI. High quality papers will be be invited to submit extended versions to the following special issues of SCI-indexed journals: • "Multi-platform multimedia data analysis and modeling" in Multimedia Tools and Applications (IF = 1.530) • "Multimedia recommendation and multi-modal data analysis" in Multimedia Systems (IF = 2.207) • "Artificial intelligence and robotics" in Computers & Electrical Engineering (IF = 1.570) • "Cognitive computing for intelligence multimedia systems" in Multimedia Tools and Applications (IF = 1.530) • "Multimodal cooperation for multimedia computing" in Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation (IF = 2.164) A "Best Paper Award" and a "Best Student Paper Award" will be conferred to the author(s) of a full paper presented at the conference, selected by the award committee based on the marks of paper reviewing assessed by the Program Committee, and paper presentation quality assessed by session chairs at the conference venue.
