Call For Papers

5GU 2018 (International Conference on 5G for Ubiquitous Connectivity) is an academic conference held in Nanjing, China on 2018-12-03. The paper submission deadline is 2018-07-10. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2018-09-10.

Scope Both the mobile data traffic and the number of devices connected to the Internet are expected to increase rapidly in the next few years. Meanwhile, new applications and services with significantly higher expectations from the mobile communication are introduced to the users: busy hour mobile data traffic is expected to grow more rapidly than average traffic; Machine Type Communication (MTC) services result in spatially and temporally varying demand etc. Therefore, a future wireless network will not only must support a fast growing overall mobile data volume and a significantly increased number of connected devices, but also adapt to dynamically fluctuating traffic demands and a great deal of new requirements of future service portfolios. To satisfy the above trends, mobile stakeholders are already preparing the technology roadmap for “5G”, which promises to meet all sorts of diverse and extreme requirements. The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers and developers as well as regulators and policy makers to present their latest views on 5G: New Networking, New wireless communications, Resource control & management, Future Access Techniques, New Emerging Applications, and of course, latest findings in key research activities on 5G. Topics The conference tracks include, but are not limited to, the following topics: Track 1 – New Networking for 5G&Beyond Small cell architecture for 5G & beyond Super density networking Network slicing Cloud based 5G architectures Cloud-RAN Mobile cloud computing/Mobile edge computing Fog computing Network function vitalization (NFV) Software defined networking (SDN) Programmable and software-defined radio, and network Self-organizing network and topology Device-to-Device Communications and networking Track 2 – New wireless communications for 5G Millimeter wave communications Massive MIMO Novel waveform design Multi-Radio Networks and Interworking Duplexing and simultaneous transmit and receive Interference management Modulation & coding Green Communications MAC and duplexing Adaptive TRX schemes Track 3 – Resource control & management for 5G Spectrum utilization and sharing Dynamic beam forming techniques Novel mobility management Multi-connectivity Relay, cloud-computing related management QoE/QoS management over 5G Dynamic QOS framework Ultra-reliability and low-latency communications Track 4 – Future Access Techniques Non-orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) Cross-layer design and optimization Cooperative networking/transmission Content distribution networks & caching Coexistence of NOMA and OFDMA Sparse code multiple access Multi-user shared access Lattice partition multiple access Interleave division multiple access Cognitive spectrum access Track 5- New Emerging Applications Tactile Internet Massive MTC applications Crowd-sensing, human centric sensing Multi-modal data compression Massive internet-of-things (IoT) Vehicle-to-X (V2X) and satellite networks Big data and 5G Data Analytics Social-aware 5G networks Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) and 5G Design principles and practices for 5G applications Testbeds for 5G&Beyond Publication All registered papers will be submitted for publication by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library. Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL). Selected best papers will be considered to be published in the special issue of “Advanced Networking & Wireless Communication Techniques for 5G&Beyond” in: Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) Journal (IF: 3.259)
