Billions of users across the globe are using various social networks for various purposes. Social networks are characterised by complex network structures and architectural designs. They give rise to research challenges in different application areas such as social setup, businesses, commerce, education, healthcare, public sector and governmental organizations. This has opened up opportunities for interdisciplinary research that require expertise from a variety of disciplines such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, social science, medical sciences, business and finance.
