The Future of Sensing is Agile The 2027 IEEE Radar Conference converges in Bangalore—India’s space, defence, and aerospace heart—to redefine the boundaries of electromagnetic intelligence. As we transition into an era of congested spectrums and contested skies, RadarConf ’27 serves as the global forge for technologies that are not just reactive, but proactive, cognitive, and resilient. We invite pioneers from academia, industry, and R&D professionals to submit original research that aligns with our three strategic pillars. The Three Strategic Pillars 01 SPECTRUM The Cognitive Frontier Harnessing Intelligence through Photonic, Quantum, and Integrated Sensing. ISAC & Convergence: Advanced ISAC waveforms, Full-Duplex systems, and Multi-User MIMO for joint sensing and 6G communications. Quantum & Photonic Mastery: Quantum illumination, entanglement-based sensing, and microwave photonic beamforming networks. Intelligent Surfaces: RIS-assisted radar architectures, Metamaterial-based RIS, and RIS for modern radome camouflage. Cognitive Autonomy: Self-optimizing radar resource management and autonomous multi-sensor surveillance swarms. 02 SPACE Atmospheric & Orbital Dominance Precision Sensing from Distributed Apertures to the Deep Cosmos. Next-Gen Airborne Systems: Shared-aperture multi-band radars, LPI Distributed MIMO, and airborne multi-static clusters. The THz Frontier: Ultra-wideband THz imaging, mmWave automotive radar, and high-frequency propagation modelling for planetary sensing. Resilient Processing: High-fidelity clutter modelling, Advanced STAP, and CFAR schemes for non-Gaussian, highly-cluttered environments. Networked Sensing: Multi-platform data fusion and collaborative sensing for orbital situational awareness. 03 SOVEREIGNTY Global Security & Defense Hardening the Skies through Electronic Warfare and Spectrum Resilience. Advanced EW & Protection: Cognitive ECM/ECCM, anti-jamming radar techniques, and high-power deception jammers. LPI & Counter-LPI: Advanced ELINT systems for LPI detection and counter-techniques for digital deception. Sovereign Resilience: Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) architectures, GaN MMIC advancement, and RIS for airborne surveillance. Strategic Defense: Multi-function RF systems, drone swarm detection, and AI/ML-driven target classification.
