ACDT 2018 (Asian Conference on Defence Technology) is an academic conference held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 2018-10-25. The paper submission deadline is 2018-09-01 (extended). Acceptance notifications are sent on 2018-09-15.

SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION ACDT 2018 seeks articles describing novel results about theoretical, empirical, conceptual or experimental research that are related to defense technology, safety, security, disaster relief, and peacekeeping technology. All contributions should be original, must be unpublished, and must not be submitted to other venues during the review period. The conference language is English. All submitted papers should must conform to the double-column format of IEEE templates. Robotics and Mechanical Engineering: Swarm Robotics; Control systems; Dynamics and controls; Acoustics; Mechatronics; Micro electro mechanical systems; Military vehicles; Weapon system design and integration; Hardware-in-the-loop simulations; Explosions and blasting mechanics. Aerospace Engineering and Space: Space situation awareness; Aircraft design and testing; Aircraft and rocket aerodynamics; Rocket propellants; Guidance and navigation; Surveillance technologies; Drone technologies. Blast and Explosives: Modeling and simulation; Chemistry and materials for defense applications; Explosive and energetic materials; Explosion reaction; Explosive detection; Combustion and propulsion; Anti- biological weapons; Chemical sensors. Operations Research: Management in weapon system development; Strategic planning; User training; Modeling and simulation; Applications of defense technology for noncombatant operations. Technology for Safeguard Operations: Disaster relief; Peace keeping and humanitarian assistance; Defense acquisition; Anti-terrorism; Technology in counter-drug operations; Risk analysis; Safe city. Human engineering, Human performance optimization, Human factors in aviation safety REVIEW PROCESS The selection of contributions to be presented at the conference and published in the proceedings will be based on peer-review by the program committee. It is required that each accepted paper be presented at the conference by one of its authors.
