征稿

CHIIR 2027 (ACM SIGIR Conference on Human Information Interaction and Retrieval) is an academic conference held in Berlin, Germany on 2027-03-07. The paper submission deadline is 2026-10-08. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2026-12-15.

The 2027 ACM SIGIR Conference on Human Information Interaction and Retrieval (CHIIR - pronounced “cheer”) will take place in Berlin, Germany between March 7-11, 2027. ACM SIGIR CHIIR 2027 invites submissions focused on user-centered approaches to designing and evaluating systems for information access, seeking, retrieval, and use. Contributions may explore improvements to existing systems and interfaces; propose novel theories, models, and systems; or focus on understanding individual and group interactions with information and information systems. CHIIR is a multi-disciplinary research meeting. In addition to studies of interactive systems, information interaction, and retrieval, we encourage submissions on related topics, including human-human information interaction, novel interaction paradigms, new evaluation methods, and related research in a range of communities such as sociology, education, ethnography, psychology, human-computer interaction, and other relevant disciplines. CHIIR 2027 will be held in person to enhance community building and foster meaningful discussions. Submission Types We welcome submissions on a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Topics covered include, but are not limited to: Individual and collaborative information seeking and use behaviours, including task-based and exploratory studies, sensemaking, etc. Ethical and societal aspects of information access and use Quantitative and qualitative studies featuring field work, diary and case studies, log analysis, experiments, usability studies, simulations, content analysis, network analysis, eye-tracking, neuro-physiological approaches, surveys, interviews, etc. Information discovery and retrieval interfaces, including those for specialised tasks, diverse populations, and domains (e.g., digital humanities, searching as learning, workplaces) Context-aware and personalised search, including design, contextual features and analysis of information interaction with recommendation technologies Multi-modal interactions with information, including augmented and virtual reality interfaces, mobile devices, conversational information systems, gamification approaches, information visualisation and visual analytics Studies of the usage of generative AI for information seeking and retrieval Submission instructions and other calls for papers will be announced later.
