Call For Papers

BODYNETS 2018 (International Conference on Body Area Networks) is an academic conference held in Oulu, Finland on 2018-10-02. The paper submission deadline is 2018-06-06 (extended). Acceptance notifications are sent on 2018-06-29.

Wearable communications and personal health management are the future trends the healthcare procedures are nowadays heading for. To make this happen, new technologies are required to provide trustable measuring and communications mechanisms from the data source to medical health databases. Wireless body area networks (WBAN) are one major element in this process. Not only on-body devices but also technologies providing information from inside a body are in the focus of this Conference. Dependable communications combined with accurate localization and behavior analysis will benefit WBAN technology and make the healthcare processes more effective. The main track will be focused on these topics: 1. Wearable Computing 2. Embedded Devices and Medical Applications 3. In- and On-Body Communications and Networking 4. Systems and Applications 5. Antennas and Propagation The program also consists of special tracks: Special Track 1: Cloud-Assisted Body Area Networks (CABAN) Special Track 2: Antenna/Propagation and WiBEC project (APWiBEC) Special Track 3: Ultra Wide Band for Body Area Networking (UWBAN) Special Track 4: ETSI Smart Body Area Networks (SmartBAN) in the IoT and M2M Publication All registered papers will be published by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library. BODYNETS proceedings are indexed in leading indexing services, including Ei Compendex, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL). Authors of selected best accepted and presented papers will be invited to submit an extended version to BODYNETS 2018 Special Issue of: IEEE Access (Call for Papers to be published soon) International Journal on Wireless Information Networks (invitations to be sent soon after the conference) EAI Endorsed Transactions on Pervasive Health and Technology
