ICIN 2027 (International ICIN Conference Innovations in Clouds, Internet and Networks) is an academic conference held in Pisa, Italy on 2027-03-15. The paper submission deadline is 2026-10-30. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2026-12-13.
This year, ICIN celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking its evolution into a renowned conference that brings together leading experts in Internet and telecommunications from industry, academia, and government worldwide. The focus of this year’s edition is “Innovation in the Intelligent, Secure, and Sustainable Cloud–Internet–Network Continuum.”
ICIN aims to bring together leading researchers, industry practitioners, and policymakers to explore the next generation of innovations across clouds, the Internet, and networked systems. The event will focus on the convergence of cloud, edge, and communication infrastructures into a unified, intelligent continuum supporting future 6G ecosystems.
The conference will address emerging paradigms in AI-driven network automation, intent-based and zero-touch management, and distributed intelligence across the device–edge–cloud continuum. Particular emphasis will be placed on trustworthy and secure infrastructures, including zero-trust architectures, privacy-enhancing technologies, post-quantum security, and decentralized trust mechanisms.
Key topics include but are not limited to intelligent cloud–edge orchestration, 6G and beyond networking, network softwarization (SDN/NFV), data-driven and autonomous networks, quantum and secure communications, and sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructures. The conference will also highlight experimental platforms, large-scale testbeds, and real-world deployments, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and standardization bodies.
By addressing both foundational research and applied innovation, the conference seeks to define the technological and architectural building blocks for a resilient, intelligent, and trusted Internet ecosystem, capable of supporting future digital services and societal needs.
