Call For Papers

WSS 2014 (International Symposium on Web Services) is an academic conference held in Sfax, Tunisia on 2014-12-27. The paper submission deadline is 2014-10-15 (extended). Acceptance notifications are sent on 2014-10-30.

Web services are a major technology for supporting automated interactions between distributed and heterogeneous applications. Various standards are associated with Web services in terms of definition, advertisement to potential users, and binding for invocation purposes. In general, composing Web services rather than accessing a single Web service is essential and provides better benefits to users. The 2014 edition of the WSS will be organized in Sfax, Tunisia on December 27th and 28th by the Multimedia, and InfoRmation systems and Advanced Computing Laboratory (Mir@cl), Sfax University, Tunisia in partnership with Zayed University.WSS’2014 aims to offer a forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research, results, ideas, developments, and applications of Web services. It will feature keynote presentations, paper presentations, special sessions, and demonstrations. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Foundations of Services Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Service specification and modeling Service selection and composition Service monitoring Service QoS evaluation and prediction Semantic Web services Services in the Cloud XaaS (everything as a service including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) Service Integration and Orchestration in the Cloud Cloud Service Management Software Engineering Models, Methods and Methodologies for XaaS Cloud Workflow Management Cloud Brokers and Coordination across Multiple Resource Managers Services in Organizations, Business and Society Social Networks and Services SOA based Business Process Modeling Applications of services to E-business and E-government Supporting Enterprise Application Integration with services Pervasive and Mobile Services Internet of Things INTENDED AUDIENCE The intended audience includes researchers working on Web services, Grid services, and related technologies; students interested in these topics; developers of commercial Web services standards (such as those engaged in these activities at W3C and OASIS); and commercial software developers who are investigating how to achieve greater flexibility and automation in the delivery of Web services. SUBMISSION, DATES & REGISTRATION Submissions of high quality papers describing research results or on-going work are solicited. Submitted papers should contain original, previously unpublished content, should be written in English, and must not be simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere. Submitted papers will be refereed by at least three reviewers for quality, correctness, originality, and relevance. Accepted papers will be presented at the symposium and included in the proceedings. Acceptance of a paper is contingent on one author presenting the paper at the symposium. Submitted papers should not exceed 12 pages in LNCS format.
