ICAR is the International Conference on Advanced Robotics technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. The technical program of ICAR consists of plenary talks, workshops and oral presentations from all areas of robotics, focusing on emerging paradigms and application areas including but not limited to: robotics vision, adversarial planning, cognitive robotics, robot operating systems, robotics architectures, simulation and visualization, mobile robots, robot swarms, humanoid robots, biologically-inspired robots, self-localization and navigation, embedded and mobile hardware, spatial cognition, robotic entertainment, human-robot interaction, robot competitions, multi-robot systems, unmanned aerial robots, search and rescue robots, underwater robotic systems, learning and adaptation, educational robotics, cooperation and competition, rehabilitation robotics, dynamics and control, and immersive robotics.

Papers presented at the ICAR 2019 will be archived in IEEE Xplore. Authors shall follow formatting instructions to prepare the manuscripts for initial and (if accepted) final submissions. Authors are encouraged to use the available Latex or Microsoft Word templates to prepare the manuscripts. Only PDFs are accepted for submission. Information on generating and testing IEEE Xplore-compliant PDFs can be found here.

Submitted manuscripts undergo full-paper peer review. For the initial submission, a maximum of six pages in the standard two-column format is allowed for each paper. For the final submission of accepted papers, six pages in the standard two-column format are allowed for each paper, with a maximum of two additional pages permitted at an extra charge of $150 per page.

The final submission of an accepted paper requires a full registration (at non-student rate) by one of the coauthors. A single registration can be used to upload up to two papers.

Accepted papers will be assigned to oral sessions at the discretion of the Program Committee.
