An international journal reporting research on the synthesis, structure, and properties of materials

Please note that we have moved submission system to Editorial Manager. If you plan to submit to Materials Research Bulletin, please click on the Submit your Paper link to be taken to the correct submission system. Please do not use saved/bookmarked links.

Materials Research Bulletin is an international journal reporting high-impact research on processing-structure-property relationships in functional materials and nanomaterials with interesting electronic, magnetic, optical, thermal, mechanical or catalytic properties. Papers purely on thermodynamics or theoretical calculations (e.g., density functional theory) do not fall within the scope of the journal unless they also demonstrate a clear link to physical properties. Topics covered include functional materials (e.g., dielectrics, pyroelectrics, piezoelectrics, ferroelectrics, relaxors, thermoelectrics, etc.); electrochemistry and solid-state ionics (e.g., photovoltaics, batteries, sensors, and fuel cells); nanomaterials, graphene, and nanocomposites; luminescence and photocatalysis; crystal-structure and defect-structure analysis; novel electronics; non-crystalline solids; flexible electronics; protein-material interactions; and polymeric ion-exchange membranes.

Special Issue on The 13th international conference on Microwave Materials and their Applications
Submission Date: 2026-01-11

The 13th edition of the conference will focus on several important scientific themes, particularly those related to the future of mobile telecommunications and the requirements for associated devices. Guest editors: Dr Ratiba Benzerga, Université de Rennes, Rennes, France Dr Heli Jantunen, University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland Dr Xiangming Chen, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China Dr Rick Ubic, Boise State University, Boise, USA Special issue information: MMA is a series of biannual conferences held worldwide since 2000. These events bring together industry and academic experts in the field of microwave materials and their applications. This dynamic exchange promotes the alignment of academic research with industry demands. It also provides students and young researchers with the opportunity to acquire essential skills. The 13th edition of the conference will focus on several important scientific themes, particularly those related to the future of mobile telecommunications and the requirements for associated devices. Participations may therefore focus on: Material development and characterization. This includes various types of materials such as dielectric, magnetic, conductive, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and multiferroic, in various forms such as films, ceramics, composites, 2D materials, textiles, metamaterials… Microwave characterization techniques: Participants will delve into optimization, calculation, simulation, and modeling methods for materials and structures characterization. Microwave devices: The conference will cover the entire process from the design and fabrication to device measurement for extended microwave applications (antennas, absorbers, packaging, ...) Other emerging thematic and technique: are targeted here, for examples, cold sintering and room-temperature fabrication, 3D printing and other emerging fabrication/integration technologies for microwave devices...
