IEEE Annals of the History of Computing (AN) is an academic journal published by IEEE. (ISSN 1058-6180, impact factor 0.500).

IEEE Annals of the History of Computing publishes work covering the broad history of computer technology, including technical, economic, political, social, cultural, institutional, and material aspects of computing. Featuring scholarly articles by historians, computer scientists, and interdisciplinary scholars in fields such as media studies and science and technology studies, as well as firsthand accounts, Annals is the primary scholarly publication for recording, analyzing, and debating the history of computing. Annals welcomes submissions on computing history by authors at every level, from graduate students and early-career academics to seasoned practitioners and senior scholars. Scope The IEEE Annals of the History of Computing serves as a record of vital contributions which recount, preserve, and analyze the history of computing and the impact of computing on society. Where possible, first-hand accounts of events and activities are recorded with minimal editorial change, and scholarly reports of analyses of the historical record from archives and personal contact are published so as to better understand both the past and the future of our field.
