Green computing, in the context of cloud and pervasive computing, is an emerging research field in computer science and engineering. Pervasive and cloud computing are promising paradigms that have seen exponential growth in deployments and play major roles in human daily life. However, challenges remain in controlling energy consumption in large-scale data centers and prolonging mobile devices' battery life. New concepts such as mobile cloud computing (MCC), software-defined networking (SDN), Edge/Fog, and hybrid cloud services are explored to increase energy efficiency.

The 20th International Conference on Green, Pervasive, and Cloud Computing (GPC 2025) will be held on December 9-12, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, results, experiences, and progress on green, pervasive, and cloud computing.
