Call For Papers

FORGE 2027 (ACM international conference on AI Foundation Models and Software Engineering) is an academic conference held in Dublin, Ireland on 2027-04-26. The paper submission deadline is 2026-10-25. Acceptance notifications are sent on 2027-01-04.

The 4th ACM International Conference on AI Foundation Models and Software Engineering (FORGE 2027), co-located with ICSE 2027, provides a premier venue for researchers, practitioners, and educators from the AI and Software Engineering community to solve the new challenges that we meet in the era of foundation models. Foundation models, including large language models (LLMs), vision-language models, code foundation models, and increasingly autonomous AI agents are now integral to software development, maintenance, testing, operations, and evolution. At the same time, building reliable, efficient, secure, and trustworthy AI systems presents new software engineering challenges that require principled engineering methodologies. FORGE 2027 will be held on Mon 26 - Tue 27 2027, in Dublin, Ireland. Topics of Interest We solicit submissions describing original and unpublished results of theoretical, empirical, conceptual, and experimental software engineering research related to Software Engineering with Foundation Models. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Foundation Models for Requirement Engineering and Software Design Foundation Models for Code Generation/Reuse Foundation Models for Software Quality Assurance (e.g., including code review, analysis, testing, and debugging) Foundation Models to Support Software Evolution (e.g., refactoring, technical debt management) Foundation Models for Software Security and Privacy Foundation Models for AIOps Foundation Models for Software Supply Chain Management, e.g., Foundation Model-based vulnerability identification, software composition analysis LLM Agents for SE tasks, e.g., how to use various Foundation Models (e.g., LangChain) to complete a SE task. Prompt Engineering for Software Development Legal and Human Aspects of using Foundation Models Software Engineering for Foundation Models (e.g., Testing and verification of Foundation Models or Foundation Model-based systems) Note that the aforementioned topics may not be limited to Foundation Models, but may also refer to new technology based on how AI models evolve. The best papers will be awarded with an ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award at FORGE.
