Special Issue on Performance Evaluation of Wireless Ad-Hoc and Ubiquitous Networks
截稿日期: 2024-05-15

Wireless ad-hoc networks have witnessed a fast growth period. Wireless ad-hoc networks are now implemented, deployed and tested, and this trend is likely to increase. This issue on performance evaluation of smart frameworks for Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks aims to open a critical debate on the evaluation of wireless ad-hoc networks. Special Issue on AI-ZTIoT: AI-enabled Zero Trust for Security of IoT Networks
截稿日期: 2024-05-15

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a rapidly growing field that involves the interconnection of physical devices, vehicles, buildings, and other objects embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and connectivity. While IoT offers numerous benefits, such as increased efficiency and convenience, it also poses significant security risks. As IoT devices become more prevalent and connected, they become an attractive target for cyber attackers attempting to exploit vulnerabilities and compromise IoT networks. ------------ AI-based algorithms, including machine learning, deep learning, data mining, optimization, text mining, and network science, have been recently used in devising cybersecurity solutions. Existing AI-enabled cyber security, involving intrusion detection and prevention systems, security information and event management, firewalls, digital forensics, authentication, and privacy preservation, face challenges in discovering complex cyber attacks in IoT networks. ------------ One emerging approach to mitigate vulnerabilities and cyber attacks is zero trust security. Zero trust is a security model that assumes that all devices and users, both inside and outside the network, are untrusted and must be continuously verified before being granted access to resources. With the increasing adoption of AI-based cyber security solutions in IoT networks, the combination of AI and zero trust has the potential to create powerful cyber security solutions. ------------ This special issue seeks high-quality papers related to novel methods, algorithms, and methodologies related to developing AI-enabled zero trust for the security of IoT Networks. Topics of interest for this special issue include, but are not limited to: ------------ Guest editors: ------------ Nour Moustafa, PhDUniversity of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia ------------ Zahir Tari, PhDRMIT University, Melbourne, Australia ------------ Benjamin Turnbull, PhDUniversity of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia ------------ Hadis Karimipour, PhDUniversity of Calgary, Calgary, CANADA ------------ Zhiyuan Tan, PhDEdinburgh Napier University, Edinburgh, UK
