The quality of software, well-defined interfaces (hardware and software), the process of digitalisation, and accepted standards in these fields are essential for building and exploiting complex computing, communication, multimedia and measuring systems. Standards can simplify the design and construction of individual hardware and software components and help to ensure satisfactory interworking. Computer Standards & Interfaces is an international journal dealing specifically with these topics. The journal • Provides information about activities and progress on the definition of computer standards, software quality, interfaces and methods, at national, European and international levels • Publishes critical comments on standards and standards activities • Disseminates user's experiences and case studies in the application and exploitation of established or emerging standards, interfaces and methods • Offers a forum for discussion on actual projects, standards, interfaces and methods by recognised experts • Stimulates relevant research by providing a specialised refereed medium. Computer Standards & Interfaces is concerned with the specification, development and application of standards and with high-level publications of developments and methods in the following areas: • Standards, Information Management, Formal Methods - Computers, Processors, Storage, Operating systems, Languages, Databases, Graphics, User interface, Multimedia, Information security, Office automation, Development of standards and instruments, Applications • Software Quality, Software Process - Languages, Operating systems, Programming, Requirements specification, Design & implementation, Inspection & test, Maintenance, Product and process evaluation, Performance, Tools, Metrics, Embedded systems, Software in measurement and technical systems including real-time aspects, Development of International Standards in Software Engineering • Distributed Systems, Open Systems, E-Topics - Digital interfaces, System and device buses, Fieldbuses, Data communication, Distributed computing, Protocols, Open systems interconnection, Local and wide area networks, Internet, Worldwide Web, Network security, Cryptology, E-services, E-business, E-commerce • Data Acquisition - Analog-to-digital conversion, Specification, Modelling, Industrial electronics, Real-time systems, Laboratory automation, Automatic measurement, Process control, Electromagnetic compatibility • Digital Instruments Standardisation - Forum of EUPAS, European Project for ADC-based devices, Standardisation (IMEKO TC-4 Working Group on A/D and D/A Converter Metrology), IEEE TC-10, IEC TC-42-WG8, IEC TC-85-WG16; Standardi-sation of specifications, modelling, testing, and analog and digital processing for digital instruments The last issue of a volume includes an author index and a subject index. CS&I also covers general topics concerning the standardisation process, such as technical, political and commercial aspects of standards, their impact on the marketplace, cost/benefit analyses, legislative issues, and relationships among national and international standards bodies.

Special Issues
Special Issue on Neural Interfaces and eXtended Reality for Industry and Health 4.0截稿日期: 2024-03-31The combined use of BCI and XR evolves the interface concept in human-computer interaction. BCI provides a new input channel no longer mediated by traditional visual, acoustic, and tactile interfaces. XR provides new ways of enjoying the output by bringing then immersiveness (sense of presence). A further innovative aspect with respect to traditional measurement systems is that the user and the measurand can coincide. The development of standards and instruments is an emerging issue both in Industry and in Health 4.0. Guest editors: Dr. Nicola Moccaldi, University of Naples Federico II Assist. Prof. Javier Marín Morales, Polytechnic University of Valencia Dr. Antonio Esposito, University of Naples Federico II Special issue information: This Special Issue is open to all researchers from the fields of Metrology, Brain Computer Interface, eXtended Reality, and Artificial Intelligence and practicing virtuous interdisciplinary cross-fertilization. Moreover, outstanding papers presented at the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Metrology for eXtended Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Neural Engineering will be considered for publication after the peer review process. Manuscript submission information: Submission Deadline: 31th March 2024

Special Issue on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies: Standards & Regulation截稿日期: 2024-04-01Guest editors: Dr. Yannan Li, University of Wollongong, Australia Professor Willy Susilo, University of Wollongong, Australia Special issue information: Blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) have emerged as transformative innovations with the potential to revolutionize industries across the globe. The decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain and DLT offers numerous advantages, such as enhanced security, transparency, and efficiency. As blockchain adoption expands across sectors like finance, supply chain management, healthcare, and energy, there is an increasing need to establish clear and effective standards and regulations to ensure its secure and efficient implementation. The establishment of blockchain standards is crucial to foster interoperability, compatibility, and seamless integration between different blockchain platforms. Standardization initiatives aim to develop internationally recognized norms, protocols, and best practices that facilitate the development, deployment, and operation of blockchain systems. These standards address various aspects, including data formats, cryptographic algorithms, consensus mechanisms, privacy protection, smart contract execution, and identity management. By promoting interoperability, standards enable the exchange of assets and information across differentblockchain networks, fostering collaboration and innovation. Regulatory frameworks for blockchain technology are equally important to address legal, ethical, and societal implications. Governments and regulatory bodies worldwide are grappling with the challenge of preventing fraudulent activities, combating money laundering, and safeguarding privacy in the context of blockchain applications. Regulations encompass areas such as cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), and digital identity. Balancing the need for regulatory oversight with fostering innovation and technological advancement is a complex task blockchain and DLT technologies. As the proliferation of blockchain and DLT applications, it becomes increasingly important to establish clear and effective standards and regulations to ensure their secure and efficient implementation. To this end, this special issue aims to explore the dynamic landscape of blockchain and DLT standards and regulation, shedding light on the challenges, advancements, and future prospects in this rapidly evolving domain. This special issue will solicit state-of-the-art research and development in the field of blockchain standards and regulations. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Standardization initiatives for blockchain and DLT Regulatory frameworks for blockchain and DLT applications Blockchain and DLT governance models Security improvement for blockchain and DLT Privacy improvement for blockchain and DLT Scalability improvement for blockchain and DLT Quality of service (QoS) improvement for blockchain and DLT Anomaly detection in blockchain and DLT Secure applications in blockchain and DLT
