Call For Papers
The European Commission published recently the Horizon 2020 (H2020) research program to prepare the roadmap for research in Information Communication Technologies. The Future of Internet is on its way and contributions are needed to accommodate new usage and future expectations of society at large. The planned R&D covers a wide spectrum from communication networks and cloud computing infrastructures to Internet of things and wide application domains.

The aim of the annual EUNICE conference is to provide a forum that brings together young researchers and scientists from Europe and neighboring regions to meet and exchange ideas and recent works on all aspect of information and communication technologies. The theme for the EUNICE 2014 conference “Anticipating the future of the Internet?” has been proposed to promote fruitful exchanges between academic institutions and industry.

The Eunice Summer School is open to researchers from any institution, and we cordially invite all researcher (PhD students, young and senior researchers) to contribute with original submissions and present their recent work.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

    Network Architectures : cellular, IP and optical networks; Ad-hoc and wireless mesh networks smart optical and wireless networks
    Advanced Networking Concepts: software defined networking (SDN); network virtualization; cloud networking; information centric networks
    Modeling : traffic models; dimensioning models; QoS and QoE models ; network models
    Network Planning : dimensioning; planning for robustness, reliability, energy-efficiency; network migration planning
    Security : identities, trust and privacy management; policies ; new challenges and issues
    Network data analytics : metrics and probes
    Applications and services for social communities at large : e-Health, e-Administration, entertainment
    Results from testbeds and experimental research, Measurements, Simulations

Submission

Papers: Please submit full papers containing original work. Papers are recommended to be of ten A4 pages length (max. 12 pages).

Posters: Ongoing work is invited for presentation as a poster. Please submit an extended abstract of up to four pages.

The EasyChair conference management system will be used for submission and paper handling.

The conference proceedings will be published  in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Conference proceedings will be available in print (ISBN), on USB drive and in Springer’s online library.
